DOLOMITE

Dolomite is a carbonate mineral composed of calcium magnesium carbonate (CaMg(CO₃)₂). It is commonly found in sedimentary rocks and often forms when magnesium-rich water alters limestone into dolomite rock. The mineral usually appears white, grey, or pink in color. Dolomite is widely used in construction, cement and glass production, and as an important source of magnesium.
